Packworthy beta: tester guide

Thanks for helping us test Packworthy! Tell it about your trip (who's going, how many nights, the weather and what you're doing) and it builds your packing list, with real quantities and a reason for each item. This is an early build, so expect a rough edge or two. Your feedback decides what we fix next.

1. Install it (about 2 minutes)

The beta is Android only for now and isn't in the Play Store yet, so you'll install it straight from our site.

  1. Already have an older test app called "Muster"? Uninstall it first.
  2. On your phone, go to packworthy.app/beta and tap Download for Android.
  3. If your phone asks, allow installs from your browser (Settings > Apps > Special access > Install unknown apps). That's normal for beta apps that aren't in the Play Store yet.
  4. Open the file and tap Install.
  5. Open Packworthy and plan your first trip.

The beta is free. Nothing you tap will charge you.

2. Try these three trips

A free weekend, just you. Pick a city, 2 nights or fewer, one traveler. This is the Free plan, so you'll see grey ad placeholders. Does the list look like what you'd actually pack?

A 4-night family beach trip with a toddler. Add two adults and a child aged 1 or 2, and tag a beach day or two. Going past 2 nights or adding a second traveler brings up the paywall. It's simulated, so go ahead and "buy" a plan (Family is $24.99 a trip or $39.99 a year at launch). Then check the diaper counts and beach gear.

A trip with rain in the forecast. Pick somewhere wet in the next two weeks. Rain days should add rain gear, and how cold you run should change the layers. If the trip is too far out to forecast, the app uses typical weather for those dates.

3. Send us feedback

Tap the menu (⋮) at the top right of Home, then Send feedback. Or go to packworthy.app/beta/feedback. It takes about 3 minutes, and only the first question is required. The app fills in your version and phone model for you, so you don't have to type them.

What we most want to hear

Before you report a bug, check the known issues. Your trips stay on your phone only, so uninstalling Packworthy deletes them.
